Israel considering reopening airspace this week

Israel is examining the possibility of gradually reopening its airspace this week, The Times of Israel reports.

According to the outlet, the initial plan had envisaged resuming flights next week, but the timeline is now under review.

Israel’s Ministry of Transport believes that the first phase of reopening the airspace should enable local airlines to bring home Israelis who are stranded abroad.

According to the publication, a final decision has not yet been made and, as of March 3, Ben Gurion Airport will remain closed at least until March 6.
