The increase in tension in the Middle East could push the price of oil to $300 per barrel.
Axar.az reports that Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein said this during a telephone conversation with German Foreign Minister Wadefulla.
According to him, the continuation of the conflict in the region and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz could cause economic shocks:
“If military operations begin, the price of oil could rise to $200-300 per barrel.”
