Pezeshkian holds talks with India and Pakistan leaders

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian held talks with Indian and Pakistani Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Shehbaz Sharif.

Axar.az reports that Pezeshkian expressed condolences to the government and people of the country over the terrorist attack in India.

He strongly condemned the terrorist attack in his conversation with the Indian President.

Pezeshkian also stressed the importance of cooperation between regional countries to strengthen unity in the fight against terrorism.

The Iranian President told Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif that Iran is ready to help resolve misunderstandings between Pakistan and India.

“Like the Islamic Republic of Iran, we attach great importance to peace, stability, and long-term security in the region,” the Pakistani Prime Minister stated.

"The recent terrorist incidents double the need for expanded regional cooperation to combat the scourge of terrorism and destroy the financial and weapons infrastructure of terrorist groups. We must direct all our efforts to establishing peace, security, and tranquility in the region," the Iranian president told his interlocutors.

It should be noted that an explosion occurred at the main office of the Shahid Rajai port in the Iranian city of Bandar Abbas. As a result, a large number of people were killed and injured.
