A phone call took place between Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
Axar.az reports, according to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, during the call, the regional situation was discussed.
The ministers exchanged views on possible efforts to end military escalation in the region. They also emphasized the importance of ensuring security in the Caspian Sea area.
Bayramov reiterated Azerbaijan’s expectations regarding the completion of the investigation into drone attacks originating from Iranian territory targeting the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The ministers also discussed bilateral issues of mutual interest.
