Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a phone conversation with his Italian counterpart, Antonio Tajani.
Axar.az reports, citing IRIB, during the conversation, the ministers exchanged views on regional developments as well as the security, legal, and economic consequences of what Iran described as U.S. and Israeli military aggression against the country.
Araghchi also briefed his counterpart on the latest developments related to a ceasefire and diplomatic efforts to end what he called the imposed war, stressing the importance of European countries playing a responsible role in this process.
In addition, the Iranian foreign minister expressed regret over what he described as the “unconstructive and irresponsible” approach of some European states regarding Iran’s nuclear program, insisting that it is entirely peaceful. He urged those countries to condemn the alleged U.S.-Israeli military actions against Iran and hold them accountable for violations of international humanitarian law.
