Russia, Azerbaijan mull priorities on North-South transport corridor

Russia and Azerbaijan have confirmed their interest in implementing a set of measures necessary to ensure stable transportation of goods between the two countries, and priorities for the North-South transport corridor, the Russian bureau of Report informs.

The above-mentioned has been discussed during negotiations between First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Andrei Belousov and Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev.

The parties considered the priority tasks of modernizing the railway infrastructure within the North-South international transport corridor.

Andrey Belousov and Shahin Mustafayev confirmed their interest in implementing a set of measures necessary to ensure stable transportation of goods along the railways of Russia and Azerbaijan.

Also, as a result of the negotiations, a joint action plan has been approved to create the regulatory legal framework necessary for the development of railway transportation and infrastructure of the North-South international transport corridor.
