Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia have signed documents aimed at strengthening their energy partnership.

A meeting was held on May 3 between Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and a delegation headed by Saudi Arabian Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al-Saud, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, informs citing the Azerbaijani Energy Ministry.

The current cooperation with ACWA Power company on the development of wind energy projects with a total capacity of 2.5 GW onshore and offshore was reviewed at the meeting. The importance of accelerating the implementation of projects in the renewable energy sources was noted.
