Ukraine's accession to NATO is unlikely due to the positions of Hungary, Germany and the United States. This opinion was expressed by Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with the British magazine The Economist, APA reports.
The publication cites Zelenskyy's words in an indirect speech. At the same time, the Economist quotes him as saying that if Ukraine is denied entry into the alliance, "it must build its own NATO," which, according to Zelenskyy, means a further increase in the number of armed forces.
Zelenskyy also said that he has not yet received specific proposals for a settlement from US President Donald Trump's team, but hopes to hear them at upcoming meetings.
