India and Pakistan agree to ceasefire

India and Pakistan have reached a ceasefire agreement, as confirmed by key officials from both countries.

Axar.az reports that in an interview with the BBC, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, confirmed the development. India’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Vikram Misri, also verified the ceasefire, stating that it came into effect at 17:00 local time (15:30 Baku time).

Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump had announced that the ceasefire agreement was the result of long-term negotiations mediated by Washington, securing a significant diplomatic breakthrough between the two nations.
