Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler Osman Nurmagomedov has started fighting at the Summer Olympics in Paris.
The athlete competing in the weight category up to 86 kg met with Mongolia's representative Bat-Erdene Byambasurengiyin in 1/8 finals, reports.
Having defeated his opponent with a score of 11:2, Nurmagomedov entered the 1/4 finals.
The 2024 Summer Olympics, officially the Games of the 33rd Olympiad and branded as Paris 2024, is an ongoing international multi-sport event taking place from 24 July to 11 August 2024 in France.
