Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in a telephone conversation with the head of the White House Donald Trump invited the US leader to Ankara, AzVision.az reports.
According to information, the Turkish leader assured the US President of his country's readiness for new steps to expand bilateral cooperation, including in the military-industrial complex.
He expressed support for Donald Trump's initiatives to end wars and conflicts in the world, in particular, welcomed the efforts of the US administration in the issue of dialog with Iran and cessation of the war between Russia and Ukraine.
The Turkish head of state also drew attention to the situation in the Middle East, calling the scale of the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip “appalling.”
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan emphasized the need to ensure uninterrupted supplies of humanitarian aid to the Palestinians and noted Ankara's readiness to cooperate and support steps to ensure a ceasefire and long-term peace.
Referring to the situation in Syria, the Turkish President brought to the attention of the White House President Ankara's determination to support territorial integrity and stability in the neighboring country.
The politician expressed confidence that the easing of US sanctions against Damascus will have a positive impact on the situation in Syria.
“A stable Syria will contribute to peace both in the region and in the whole world,” he noted.
In conclusion, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan invited US President Donald Trump to visit Türkiye.
